Lately my thinking train has been on a supersonic speed! Thoughts all over, clashing with each other, then trying to harmonize and rationalize them to make myself upbeat! Our mind is such, sometimes all in control and sometimes straggling in all directions! The trajectory it assumes can be very confusing at times leaving us disconcerted. Why am I always wrong? I did not say or do anything, then why am I being targeted rather being judged? I am sure this kind of cerebration process also goes on in your mind! COME ON, let’s face it, it’s only human after all!

Yesterday I was with a bunch of jovial, sprightly, super confident and self reliant friends and guess what, the topic of judging came up! Driving back home I mused on the fact that no matter how successful you are, how balanced you are, how collected you are, there will be situations that you will get judged for your actions! But again this was not enough, I can only speak for myself and have to admit that I have judged folks without knowing the true facts! Now that’s not a good action on my behalf, right? But they also judged me, so why can’t I do that? Friends put your thinking gears on, have you been in such gargantuan tough situations? You have, I know you have been!

Bottom line, if you do not want to be judged for your actions, STOP doing that to others! Sounds so simple, but such a daunting task! Over a period of time I have realized that this is the universal truth that cannot be disabled. Follow it or be ready to be judged! However, there is a fine line between being criticized and being judged. Criticism can be both positive or negative based on facts, can be uplifting but judging is erroneous and basically has no ground facts! Ironically, in my case, I have judged people and interestingly they are the ones who I admire now for their achievements in life! I feel sorry for myself on occasions that my thoughts did not cooperate with me and went on a parabolic ride! However, life always gives you more chances to redeem and march forward!

Never, ever judge a book by it’s cover, my fresh mantra, which I am trying to follow closely! We will never know what is going on in someone else’s life, so why form opinions? It’s baseless to do that, nothing good comes out of it!

Let’s all make a sincere attempt to implement this quote in our lives..“How would your life be different if, you stopped making negative judgmental assumptions about people you encounter? Let today be the day…You look for the good in everyone you meet and respect their journey.”  Steve Maraboli

** I have often times been told by my close friends that I have a healing touch. Hmm!! I truly accept that as a very magnanimous compliment, however there is a lot I need to correct in myself also! I promise I will, when I feel that I have reached the pinnacle where I only see love and serenity all over! We all have our flaws, spots and specks in our personalities that we should introspect and work on sincerely! Remember when you are going through your inner transformation only you can recognize it, your folks will not understand and that’s okay! After all it’s your personal journey not theirs, so keep marching forward! Working on that, and hoping you all also find your true self, hidden in you somewhere to be a complete and unpretentious human being! So let’s try to get rid of this act of judging and bring the best out in each other!

    Awesome work! 👏👏
Yes, let’s all raise above our individual shallow boundaries & societal influences/experiences n pledge to be better people, better friends, better sister, brother, wife, husband etc..
By judging others you are not embracing other’s genuinessss, their authenticity etc. which compels & enourages them to put up this fake persona just to impress! Love thy crazy, wild, loud, bitter, etc relationships blossom!!

So agree with this!! I’ts been a lifetime practice where I’ve judged people in an effort to quickly put them away in buckets. And I’ve been so wrong and so many times…living and learning..to be free…
